ABOUT
KEITH
I'm Keith, owner of Woofman Dog Training and a canine behavior specialist who focuses on the dogs that need a little extra understanding. For more than two decades, I've helped families throughout Suffolk County work through aggression, reactivity, anxiety, fear, and other challenging behaviors using practical, personalized training in your home.
In addition to working with private clients, I've served as a Behavior Consultant for numerous shelters across Long Island as well as Bideawee, one of New York's largest no-kill shelters. I've helped dogs with complex behavioral challenges find success both in homes and in the community.
My goal isn't simply to train your dog—it's to help you understand why your dog behaves the way they do and give you the confidence to create lasting change. Every dog is different, which is why every training plan is built around your family, your home, and your goals.
Positive change is possible, and I'd love the opportunity to help you enjoy your dog again.
Every dog deserves someone willing to understand them.
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the dogs that needed a little more patience, a little more understanding, and someone willing to look beyond the behavior.
Over the last 20+ years, I've worked with thousands of dogs—from energetic puppies to fearful rescues and severe behavior cases. Every one has taught me something new.
Today, I have the privilege of helping families throughout Suffolk County build calmer, safer, and happier lives with their dogs.
Why behavior?
Most dogs don't wake up one morning and decide to become aggressive or anxious. Behavior is communication.
Whether your dog is reacting out of fear, frustration, excitement, or uncertainty, there's always a reason. My job isn't simply to stop the behavior—it's to understand it, identify what's causing it, and help both you and your dog move forward together.
That's why I specialize in behavior modification rather than just obedience training.

My Philosophy
There isn't one method that works for every dog.
Every family is different.
Every home is different.
Every dog has its own personality.
That's why every behavior plan I create is customized for your goals, your lifestyle, and your dog. My focus is building trust, improving communication, and creating practical changes that last long after our sessions end.
When I'm not working...
When I'm not helping clients, you'll usually find me hiking with my own dogs, volunteering with local shelters, or continuing my education in canine behavior. I'm always learning because every dog teaches us something new.
My Promise
When you invite me into your home, you're not just hiring a trainer.
You're getting someone who genuinely wants to understand your dog, support your family, and help you build the kind of relationship you've always hoped for.
Positive change is possible.
I'd be honored to help you get there.
There are no bad dogs—only dogs trying to communicate in ways we don't always understand.
